Shock Attack on Ukrainian Teens in Edinburgh: Police Hunt Dark-Clad Youth Gang
Youth Gang Launches Brutal Assault
Edinburgh detectives are urgently appealing for info after three Ukrainian teens were viciously attacked on September 3. The victims – two 13-year-old boys and a 15-year-old – were heading to a bus stop on Niddrie Mains Road at around 8.30pm when chaos erupted.
A gang of eight youths, all dressed in dark clothes, confronted them. Two attackers singled out one 13-year-old, slashing his ear. Meanwhile, the others punched the 15-year-old and stabbed the other 13-year-old. The gang then fled the scene in a flash.
Victims Rushed to Hospital – Police Seek Witnesses
The injured boys were taken to hospital for treatment. Police were alerted the following day and quickly branded the assault racially aggravated.
“I know there were members of the public in the area at the time of the attack,” said Detective Inspector Keith Fairbairn. “We need anyone who saw the youths – especially those dressed in dark clothing – to come forward. Even the smallest detail could help us nail those responsible.”
