Police Hunt Man After Van Theft and Driver Injury in Southampton

Officers want to speak to a man connected to a brazen van theft on 7 December in Church End, Southampton.

Women Hurt as Van Stolen Mid-Delivery

At 1:40pm, a Harvest Fine Foods van was snatched while the driver was making a delivery. The quick getaway left the driver with a bruised leg.

Van Recovered but Valuables Missing

The stolen vehicle was found later in Hardy Close. However, the driver’s work phone and three boxes of mince pies worth £30 vanished without a trace.

Suspect Arrested But Police Still Need Help

A 42-year-old Southampton man has been arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, theft from the vehicle, and driving while disqualified. He’s now on bail as the police continue their investigation.

Police have released an image of a man they believe holds vital information. They urge him to come forward.
