Train Driver Targeted in Brick Attack Pleads for Help
Train driver Mr Birch has made a desperate appeal for information after being attacked while on duty. Despite police calls, no arrests have been made yet.
“I Could Have Been Blinded or Killed”
The Northern Railway driver revealed the terrifying impact of the assault. “I could have been blinded or even killed,” Mr Birch said. Thankfully, he managed to bring the train to a safe stop.
He also thanked a doctor aboard the train who provided immediate treatment after the attack.
Seeking Justice and Public Support
Back at his Blackburn base, Mr Birch urged anyone who knows the culprit to speak up. “Someone knows who threw that brick and I urge them to come forward to help ensure the person responsible doesn’t endanger more lives with their reckless behaviour,” he said.
