Attempted ATM Heist Shakes Strood High Street

Kent Police are hunting witnesses after a brazen attempt to nick a cash machine at Asda on Strood High Street. The break-in happened just after midnight on Monday, 3 February 2020.

Wall Smacked to Access ATM Room

Officers found a damaged wall next to the ATM, smashed to get into the room housing the machine. Luckily, nothing was stolen during the raid.

Loud Bangs Heard Hours Before

There were reports of loud banging noises coming from the store from around 11pm on Sunday, 2 February, raising suspicions of a planned smash-and-grab.

Police Urge Locals to Speak Up

Detectives from Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate want anyone who saw or heard anything to come forward. Call 01634 792209 and quote reference 46/20846/20.
