Basingstoke Biker, 21, Dies in Tragic Crash – Family Pays Heartfelt Tribute

The family of Ashley Herring, a 21-year-old motorcyclist from Maynard Close, Berkshire, have shared a touching tribute after he died in a crash near Basingstoke.

Ashley: The Life and Soul of Any Event

Ashley lost his life when his Yamaha motorcycle crashed in Foxs Lane, Penwood, around 7.30pm on Wednesday, 24 May. His family described him as “the life and soul of any event” who always had “something funny to say” and was “the one to make everyone laugh.”

“He died doing what he loved. Pushing the limits. Always in our hearts, never forgotten. Always Mum, Dad, Gemma and all that loved him. Xxx”

Police Continue to Probe Crash – Witnesses Urgently Needed

Officers are still investigating the exact circumstances of the fatal collision. Sergeant Jon Bates from the joint Roads Policing Unit is calling on anyone who saw the incident or Ashley’s motorcycle before the crash to come forward.

He urged: “We are still appealing for anyone who may have seen the collision, or saw the motorcycle prior to the incident, to come forward and tell us exactly what happened.”
