Tragedy in Croydon: Schoolgirl, 15, Fatally Attacked on Her Way to Class

Teen Elianne Andam Murdered in Broad Daylight

The family of Elianne Andam, a 15-year-old schoolgirl, have paid a heartbreaking tribute after she was viciously attacked and killed on Wellesley Road, Croydon, at around 8:30am on Wednesday, September 27.

Police rushed to the scene within two minutes of the emergency call. Alongside emergency services, officers performed first aid on Elianne, but sadly, she died at the scene.

Family Mourns ‘Beautiful Child’

In a moving statement, Elianne’s family pleaded for privacy as they struggle with their loss: “Our hearts are broken by the senseless violence. Please respect our privacy as we grieve the short life of our beautiful child.”

Investigation Underway – Suspect Known to Victim

Detective Chief Inspector Rebecca Woodsford is leading the inquiry. She has expressed condolences to Elianne’s family and urged anyone with information to come forward.

Forensic teams have scoured the scene. Police confirm the suspect was known to Elianne, but the exact relationship is still being established.

A post-mortem is scheduled for Thursday, September 28, seeking to shed further light on the tragic killing.

The attack has rocked Croydon, with locals rallying in support of the mourning family. Detective Woodsford thanked the community for their patience during the investigation.
