- A 34-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
- Officers have spoken to several witnesses but are now desperate to trace the driver of a dark, five-door car caught on CCTV.
- Witnesses say this driver briefly stopped at the scene but drove off before giving a statement.
