Hope Street Returns to Northern Ireland for a Bigger, Bolder Series Three

The beloved BBC drama Hope Street is back! Filming has kicked off once again on the stunning Northern Irish coast in Donaghadee, County Down, the real-life inspiration for the fictional town of Port Devine.

Joining the cast this series are Northern Irish stars Karen Hassan, famed for roles in The Fall and Vikings, playing the mysterious Jo Lipton, and Finnian Garbutt (from Casualty) as PC Ryan Power.

“I’ve had my first day filming and the crew and cast were so warm and welcoming I already feel part of the ‘Port Devine’ furniture. Hoping ‘Jo’ makes a big splash,” said Karen Hassan.

“As a big fan of seasons one and two, I’m delighted and grateful to be joining the cast. I can’t wait to bring PC Ryan Power to life!” said Finnian Garbutt.

The production team includes acclaimed producers Paul Marquess and Donna Wiffen of Long Story TV, alongside co-creator Susanne Farrell. The writing team boasts talents from popular shows like EastEnders, Emmerdale, and Benedict Devlin Mysteries.
