Fire Breaks Out in Maidstone Pub Basement

Kent Fire and Rescue Service rushed to a blaze in the basement of a pub on Middle Row, Maidstone. Three fire engines rolled up as firefighters donned breathing apparatus to tackle the smoke.

Fire Quickly Extinguished, No Injuries

Thankfully, the fire was already out when crews arrived. Firefighters used a high-pressure fan to clear smoke from the premises while Kent Police also attended the scene.

Cause Believed Accidental Electrical Fault

There were no reported injuries. The cause of the fire is thought to be an accidental electrical fault in the basement.
