Tragic Death of 13-Year-Old Girl in Dover Roundabout Crash
A 13-year-old schoolgirl, named locally as Mya Lawrence, has died after being hit by a car at a busy roundabout in Dover. Mya was a pupil at Dover Christ Church Academy.
Fatal Collision on Whitfield Hill Roundabout
Kent Police say a blue Vauxhall Astra struck Mya while she was crossing the A256 carriageway at around 7.40pm on Friday. The crash happened as the car exited the Whitfield Hill roundabout.
Emergency services pronounced the teenager dead at the scene. Her family have been informed.
Driver Stays on Scene, Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
The driver stayed at the scene and was uninjured.
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to help with the investigation.
