Stabbing Horror on Church Street, Croydon! Police rushed to Church Street at 5.25pm on Monday, 20 March after reports of a massive brawl involving a large group of youths.
Two Teenagers Stabbed Amid Chaos
Two teens were rushed to hospital with stab wounds. Their condition is still being assessed. At least one youth has been arrested in connection with the violent incident.
Witness Describes Shocking Scene
“I saw the fight on Church Street. After one lad was stabbed, he fell to the floor,” a witness said.
“I heard him scream, and someone shouted, ‘He’s been stabbed!’. Near the pub, some youths emerged wielding an orange shovel and a big stick, shouting loudly.”
“It looked like the fight spread to a nearby side street. Friends of the stabbed boy came around to check on him.”
“It’s really sad. I just hope both injured lads pull through.”
“I was chatting peacefully when I saw the stabbing. His screams stuck with me – as a mother, I can’t imagine if it were my child.”
Police Clamp Down with Stop and Search Order
An extensive crime scene remains in place on Church Street. Police have activated a Section 60 Order, granting officers extra stop-and-search powers from 7.15pm until 6am to crack down on any further trouble in the area.
