Hit-and-Run Shocker on Whitelegg Way

A crash on Whitelegg Way near Wimborne Road at 1pm on Friday, 3 June 2022, has left police hunting a hit-and-run driver. A black Vauxhall Grandland collided with a small white van. The van’s driver stopped briefly but then sped off without leaving any details.

The collision also left the van’s licence plate broken. Police are desperate to track down the offending driver or anyone who’s spotted a white van with a damaged plate since the crash.

Police Plea: Got Dashcam or Witnessed the Crash?

“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area and witnessed what happened, or captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage to please come forward,” said Police Constable Phillip Pearson of Bournemouth Police. “I’d also like to hear from anyone who has seen a small white van with a damaged number plate in the area since Friday, June 3, 2022.”
