Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash in Cliff

Kent Police are hunting witnesses and dashcam footage after a fatal collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle in Cliff.

Man, 27, Dies Following Early Morning Crash

The force was called at 2.25am on Saturday, 18 December 2021, to reports of a man injured near Station Road. Emergency crews found the 27-year-old with injuries consistent with a road traffic collision. However, no vehicle had stopped at the scene.

The victim was pronounced dead at the spot. His next of kin have been informed.

Two Men Arrested as Police Continue Inquiry

After searching the area, officers arrested two men, aged 28 and 32, from Cliffe on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. A vehicle linked to the incident was also seized.

Police Appeal for Witnesses and Footage

Officers want to hear from anyone who saw a man walking along the B2000 before the crash or spotted a grey VW Scirocco van nearby before or after the collision.
