Air Rifle Alarm Rings Out in Sidcup
At 3.38pm on Sunday, 16 October, cops rushed to Footscray Meadows, Sidcup, following reports of a group armed with air rifles.
Armed Response and Helicopter Deploy
Given the serious nature of the threat, firearms officers were scrambled, backed up by the police helicopter (NPAS) and local units.
Four Arrested, Guns Seized
- Four men were arrested and taken into custody.
- Two air rifles were recovered and secured by police.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported. Investigations are ongoing as police piece together the full story.
