Knife threats spark police chase
Four men were hauled in and a gun was confiscated after a fiery road rage showdown on Lozells Road, Birmingham, police have confirmed.
West Midlands Police rushed to the scene just before 5 PM yesterday following reports that two men, one waving a knife, were threatening another driver.
The suspects took off, but cops, backed by a drone team, tracked their vehicle to a house on Westhorp Grove.
Firearms officers swoop, make arrests
- Firearms officers stormed the address, arresting two men aged 19 and 26 on suspicion of affray and making threats with a blade in public.
- While probing suspicious activity nearby, officers searched a garden and uncovered a viable firearm and ammunition.
- Two more suspects, aged 27 and 26, were arrested on charges of possessing a firearm and ammunition.
Investigation ongoing amid police crackdown
All four men remain in custody as inquiries continue. West Midlands Police revealed this operation is part of Operation Target, their relentless campaign to rid the streets of guns and deadly weapons.

“We’re continuing to take guns off the streets as part of Operation Target,” said a West Midlands Police spokesperson.
