At 1.41am on Monday, 23 January, police were scrambled to Charlton Church Lane, SE7, after reports of a group trying to smash their way into a shop. The gang fled before officers arrived, leaving empty-handed.

Arrests Follow After Firearm Discovery

Just 21 minutes later, at 2.02am, cops stopped a car on nearby Nadine Street. Inside, they uncovered a firearm. Four suspects were hauled in on suspicion of firearm possession and attempted burglary. They remain in police custody as inquiries continue.
