Tragic Death of Lucy Billingham in Canterbury Crash
Lucy Billingham has been named as the young victim in a fatal car accident near Canterbury. The horror unfolded at around 4.20 a.m. on Saturday, December 3, at The Old Gate Inn roundabout on the A2050 New 1 Road.
Emergency crews rushed to the scene, but Lucy was tragically pronounced dead there and then. The car had four other passengers, all of whom were taken to hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
Man Arrested Over Reckless Driving
A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by reckless driving. Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward as the investigation continues.

Lucy’s pals have flooded social media with heartfelt messages following the devastating loss. One friend called her a “kind angel.” Another wrote:
“Life’s too short honestly… one minute you have someone and the next they’re gone, vanished in thin air.”
Another message read:
“Be proud that you’re still here, waking up every day, because my god has lost so many people this year and in the last couple of years that it’s getting harder and harder everywhere you look. RIP Lucy – you will always be 18.”
