Baby Stabbed in Shocking Dagenham Attack

A baby and its mother are fighting for their lives after a brutal stabbing in Dagenham. Neighbour Davey Holland jumped into action in a desperate bid to save the infant following the horrifying attack.

Neighbour’s Heroic Rescue Amid Chaos

Davey recalls the terrifying moment a woman came running down the street, shouting that her baby had been stabbed and bleeding from a deep neck wound.

“I ran down to her house and saw the man who’d done it – I’m sure it was the dad,” Davey said.

Teaming up with a police officer nearby, Davey helped restrain the suspect. They smashed a window to reach the injured baby inside. What Davey found was a scene from a nightmare: “Blood everywhere.” The baby was sitting up but clearly shocked and scared.

“When I opened the door, the mum came in and told him, ‘He’s going to help you.’ That’s when he let me put pressure around his neck,” Davey explained.

Desperate Moments and Bystander Shock

As the baby’s condition worsened, Davey pleaded for help but was left stunned by the bystanders’ reaction.

“These people wouldn’t even come in and help me with the baby, leaving him there,” he revealed.

Emergency Services Step In

Paramedics and additional police arrived about ten minutes later. Both mother and baby were rushed to hospital with serious injuries. Their current conditions are unconfirmed.

Police have launched a full investigation and sealed off the crime scene. Residents are urged to steer clear of the area as detectives carry out their inquiries.
