Knife-Wielding Robber Foiled in Cliftonville Shop

Drama unfolded on Northdown Road, Cliftonville, when a brazen thug tried to rob a local shop. The suspect stormed in at around 9.25pm on Monday, 10 October 2022, demanding cash from the till.

But the quick-thinking shop staff refused to hand over any money and managed to force the intruder out, preventing a robbery. No one was hurt in the attempted heist.

Police Hunt Mixed-Ethnicity Man, Knife in Hand

The suspect is described as a 24-25-year-old man of mixed ethnicity, about 5ft 4ins tall with an average build. He was wearing a black jacket with the hood up, black jeans, black gloves, and had a partial face covering. He was also reportedly carrying a knife.
