Gunshot victim seeks hospital help

A man in his 20s turned up at hospital with a gunshot wound to his back on Wednesday night, October 25. The victim, from the Stanley Road area of Kirkdale, Liverpool, arrived just after 10pm BST. Medics are treating him for his injuries.

Police hunt for shooter after shooting in Kirkdale

Merseyside Police have opened an investigation as officers scour CCTV and eyewitness reports. Roads around Stanley Road remain closed to aid the probe.

Chief Inspector Chris Bland said: “The investigation is still in its early stages. We know a man in his 20s arrived at hospital with a back injury, reporting he’d been shot by an unknown offender.”

“We are reviewing CCTV and dash-cam footage to piece together what happened. Anyone who saw anything is urged to get in touch.”
