Man Found Dead in Sheffield Home Amid Assault Investigation
Police launched urgent enquiries after discovering the body of a man in Sheffield today (15 December).
Body Discovered on Ironside Walk
Officers responded to reports of an assault in the Gleadless area and found the man deceased inside a property on Ironside Walk around 1.30pm.
Two Arrested as Police Probe Unexplained Death
A 39-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of assault. Both remain in custody while detectives investigate the circumstances behind the man’s death, which is currently being treated as unexplained.
A police cordon remains in place on Ironside Walk and is expected to stay until at least tomorrow (16 December).
Police Refer Themselves to IOPC
The force has made a self-referral to the Independent Office of Police Conduct as part of their ongoing inquiries.
