Pedestrian Hit by BMW in Midday Smash on Union Street
A man in his 20s was hit by a silver convertible BMW on Union Street around midday on Wednesday, 29 September 2021. The drama unfolded after an altercation between the pedestrian standing in the road and the driver of the stationary car.
The BMW suddenly moved, striking the man.
Driver Identified, Police Appeal for Witnesses
PC Charlotte Grant confirmed the victim escaped serious injury. “Thankfully, the pedestrian did not suffer any serious injuries,” she said. “We have identified the driver and are now urging anyone who saw what happened but hasn’t spoken to us yet, to come forward.”
