Explosion rocks Sharnbrook street – man seriously injured and arrested
Emergency services have been swarming Loring Road, Sharnbrook since last night after a small explosion tore through a residential property. A man in his 40s suffered serious injuries and was rushed to hospital but has now been arrested in connection with the blast.
Police launch probe amid heavy emergency response
A Bedfordshire Police spokesman said: “Our investigation is in its early stages. Specialist teams on site may look unfamiliar to locals, but there is no cause for alarm. Early inquiries indicate this was an isolated incident posing no risk to the wider public.”
Neighbouring homes evacuated as a precaution
As a safety measure, three nearby properties were evacuated. Specialists will continue detailed searches over the next few days to ensure the area is safe.
