Fake Cop Busted Near Gosport Ferry Terminal

A 19-year-old man has been arrested for impersonating a police officer near the Gosport Ferry terminal in the early hours of this morning (11 July) at around 3:30 AM. The suspect approached members of the public on High Street, claiming to be a policeman and making demands.

Disturbing Assault Claims

Reports reveal the man grabbed a woman by the throat and inappropriately touched a man on the buttocks. He’s now in custody, facing charges including impersonating a police constable, common assault, and sexual assault.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Authorities urge anyone who was stopped, searched, or approached by a man posing as a police officer in the area at the time, or who had any encounters with the suspect, to come forward.
