Violent Clash Outside Walton KFC
Police are hunting witnesses after a brutal attack outside a KFC in Walton-on-Thames left a man in his 50s fighting for his life. The drama unfolded at around 5.45pm on the High Street when an argument between three men inside the restaurant spilled outside.
The victim was assaulted during the melee and reportedly lost consciousness. He was rushed to hospital with life-threatening head injuries. Authorities have informed his next of kin.
Suspects Arrested After Fleeing Scene
The other two men involved, both in their 20s, fled immediately but were later tracked down and arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH) at a Walton property. They remain in custody while police continue their investigation.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Detective Sergeant Antony Preston urged anyone who was at the KFC or nearby to come forward. “The restaurant and surrounding streets would have been extremely busy. We want to speak to anyone who saw or heard the commotion, including drivers and delivery riders who may have captured footage on dashcams or helmet cams.”
He added that no one else is being sought in connection with the incident, but locals may notice increased police presence in the area.
