Man Stabbed Near British Museum in Early Morning Attack
A stabbing near the British Museum in London has left a man hospitalised with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The violent attack happened just before 5:30 AM on Great Russell Street on 22nd July 2024.
Victim and Suspects Flee Scene in Separate Cars
According to Metropolitan Police, the victim and two suspects immediately fled the scene in different vehicles after the stabbing. The injured man later sought medical help at a nearby hospital.
Police have arrested two people in connection with the stabbing and launched a crime scene investigation at the location.
Police: Incident Unrelated to British Museum
Authorities stressed the attack is not connected to the British Museum itself, which remains open to visitors as usual.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called to Great Russell Street, WC1 at approximately 05:32hrs on Monday, 22 July following reports of a stabbing. Officers attended but found the victim and two suspects had left the scene in cars. The victim was later treated at a hospital for injuries that are serious but non-life threatening.”

The probe is ongoing as police hunt for answers and aim to hold those responsible to account.
