Teen left with fractured skull in brutal Portsmouth attack
A 17-year-old youth suffered a fractured skull after a shocking assault in Portsmouth. Two men suddenly approached him by a silver van before pulling him off his bike and violently attacking him.
Friend fights back despite injury
The teen’s friend was also targeted, struck with what’s described as a long object. Despite his injury, he managed to cycle away and raise the alarm nearby, bringing help to the victim.
Gruesome injuries and desperate escape
The victim was reportedly stamped on the head during the attack. Passersby shouted at the assailants, forcing them to flee the scene. The teen was rushed to hospital where scans revealed three skull fractures, a broken nose, and a possible broken jaw.
Police hunt distinct suspects
Officers describe one attacker as about 5ft 8in, slim, white, with short brown spiked hair, aged late 20s to early 30s. The other is taller at around 6ft 1in, stocky build, also white.
