Manhunt Underway After Hit-and-Run Near Three Bridges Station
Sussex Police have launched a major manhunt after a hit-and-run driver left a man critically injured near Three Bridges Station on Wednesday evening.
Victim Airlifted to Trauma Centre
The victim was rushed to a Sussex major trauma centre after being struck and thrown into the taxi rank area just after 6:15pm. Emergency crews, including the Kent and Sussex Air Ambulance, were scrambled to the scene near Crawley.
Crime Scene Still in Place – Road Closures Expected
Investigators have set up a large crime scene at the mini roundabout outside the station. Witnesses spotted a man’s shoe in the road and clothing, cut from the victim, alongside a CEX bag in the gutter. Sussex Roads Policing and specialist collision teams are scouring the area for clues.
Officers warn the area could remain closed for some time while the investigation continues.
Sussex Police Seek Driver – Appeal for Information
Sussex Police are appealing for anyone with information about the hit-and-run driver to come forward. No arrests have been made yet.
“This is a serious incident and we’re keen to trace the driver as soon as possible,” a police spokeswoman said.
