Police hunt man caught on CCTV in FOUR sexual assaults in Waltham Forest
Four attacks in one morning
Detectives are urgently trying to track down a man linked to four sexual assaults carried out in Waltham Forest on the morning of Tuesday, 20 October. The attacks happened between 7.25am and midday.
- One woman was assaulted near Hall Lane, E4.
- A teenage girl was targeted at a bus stop on Leonard Road, E4.
- Two women with young children were separately attacked in Lee Valley Park and on Walthamstow Marshes. Thankfully, the children were unharmed.
Police release CCTV to identify suspect
The Met’s North East BCU safeguarding team has released CCTV footage of the man they want to speak to as part of the probe.
The suspect is described as a black male, aged 30-35, with short hair.
Police urge public to come forward
Detective Constable Tim Hudson said: “Incidents like these are disturbing and traumatic. Thankfully they are rare. I urge women in Waltham Forest to stay alert but not alarmed.”
“If you recognise the man in the footage, please get in touch. We are treating these assaults as linked and are providing specialist support to the victims.”
