Man Battered with Bottle in Shocking Walworth Attack

Early Sunday morning chaos on Walworth Road saw police rush in after a man was hit with a bottle. The brutal assault happened near the junction with Boundary Lane and Albany Road, sparking a massive crime scene.

Huge Police Presence on Walworth Road

Officers sealed off a large area by the Methodist Church, where three police cars and nine officers stood guard over a blood-stained towel. The scene was a grim reminder of the violence that erupted just after 5am.

Victim Hospitalised, Condition Stable

A Met Police spokesman confirmed:

“Police were called at around 05:00hrs on Sunday, 13 November, to a disturbance in Camberwell Road, SE5. Officers found a man in his 20s with cuts from being struck by a bottle. He was taken to hospital and his condition is not life-threatening or life-changing.”

No arrests have been made so far. Police urge anyone who witnessed the attack and has yet to speak with officers to call 101 quoting reference 1467/13nov.
