The Metropolitan Police have slammed rumours of a stabbing after a street scuffle fuelling social media frenzy on Wednesday afternoon. Cops say no injuries have been reported and there’s no proof anyone was stabbed.

Police Arrive But Scene Deserted

The clash reportedly happened early afternoon, but by the time officers arrived, everyone involved had vanished.

“Officers attended but the people had dispersed. A crime scene remained in place for a number of hours whilst enquiries were carried out,” said a Met Police spokesperson.

Despite setting up a cordon and carrying out a forensic sweep, no victims came forward and no stabbing evidence turned up.

Social Media Frenzy Unfounded

Claims of a stabbing have been wildly shared online but police warn the public to ignore rumours and wait for official updates.
