The mother, who wishes to remain anonymous, has gone public after a post about the incident was shared hundreds of times this afternoon. She confirmed she’s spoken directly to Hampshire Police with her concerns about what happened at lunchtime.
Hampshire Police Confirm Suspicious Incident
Hampshire Constabulary revealed they were called at 1:30pm on Monday 17 July regarding a suspicious event outside Aldi on Gamble Road, which took place around 12:25pm.
The mum said a woman approached her and her 1-year-old daughter while they were collecting a trolley. The woman reportedly spoke to the toddler and tried to beckon her over. When challenged, the stranger left and quickly drove off in a silver car.
