Teen Found Dead Near Gallions Reach DLR in Newham

Detectives launch probe after a body was discovered in Newham early Tuesday morning.

Disturbing Scene at Atlantis Avenue

London Ambulance Service called police at 8.38am on 3 March after reports of an unresponsive male near Gallions Reach DLR Station, Atlantis Avenue, E6.

The male, believed to be just 16 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene. He appeared to have suffered a head injury.

Police Treat Death as Suspicious

While formal ID is pending, officers believe they know who the teenager is and have informed his next of kin.

A post-mortem will be arranged soon as the Specialist Crime Command and North East Command Unit work the case.

Officers remain on site continuing their inquiries.
