Murder Mystery Shakes Quiet Bognor Regis Street
Sussex Police have launched a full murder investigation after a man was found dead in Oak Grove, Bognor Regis. Emergency services rushed to the scene on Bank Holiday Monday, August 28, following a tip-off from a member of the public.
Crime Scene Erected Outside Semi-Detached Home
Officers remain stationed outside the large semi-detached property, with a blue crime scene tent covering the front door. Neighbours, stunned by the drama, described the usually peaceful street being flooded with police and ambulance crews.
“The road is normally very quiet. On Monday, I looked out my window and saw a yellow police van parked outside,” said one neighbour who asked to remain anonymous.
Another local, familiar with the occupants, added: “One of the men who lives there works for Graceland Civil Engineering. He’s always polite and leaves early in the morning. It’s a real shock.”
Police Confirm Death of 52-Year-Old Man
A Sussex Police spokeswoman confirmed paramedics called police at 12.17pm after discovering the man’s body. “The 52-year-old man who lived at the property was declared dead at the scene,” she said.
“His death is currently being treated as unexplained. Detectives and scenes of crime officers remain on site, working to uncover the circumstances surrounding his death.”
