Tragic Baby Death in Midnight Crash on A451
A heart-breaking collision early this morning claimed the life of a three-week-old baby on the A451 between Kidderminster and Stourport. Police have arrested a 39-year-old man on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
Deadly Smash Between Ford Focus and Suzuki Vitara
The crash happened at around 12:09 am involving a black Ford Focus and a black Suzuki Vitara. The baby was a passenger in the Suzuki and was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Two others in the Suzuki, a man and woman in their 20s, were injured but their wounds are not believed to be life-threatening. The Ford Focus driver escaped unhurt.
Police Launch Full Investigation, Arrest Made
Wyre Forest Police confirmed the 39-year-old suspect remains in custody as the probe continues. Inspector Steph Arrowsmith offered sincere condolences:
“A young baby boy has tragically died, and our thoughts are very much with the baby’s parents and wider family at this incredibly distressing time.”

Officers are calling for anyone who was on the A451 around the crash time to step forward. They are especially keen to hear from drivers with dashcam footage.
