Car Thieves Nabbed After Hospital Heist in Kent

Kent Police swooped in after two victims found their cars targeted in a hospital car park on Bearsted Road on Monday, July 4, 2022.

Suspects Flee but Get Caught

Officers tracked a suspicious Seat Leon, believed to be linked to the thefts, to Home Gardens in Dartford. The car, suspected of sporting cloned licence plates, came to a stop nearby. The two occupants bolted on foot.

A 42-year-old man from Dover was quickly arrested as he walked away from the stationary vehicle. The second suspect, a 47-year-old from High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, was caught after a short foot chase.

Evidence Found in Car

The police searched the Seat Leon and uncovered key evidence, including:

  • Two stolen catalytic converters
  • Jack and cutting tools
  • Gloves
  • Two registration plates for the Seat

suspects Released on Bail

Both men were arrested and later released on bail. They have been ordered to return to the Kent Police station on July 22 for further investigation.
