Man Hospitalised After Late-Night Attack on Glasgow’s Union Street

A violent assault rocked Glasgow’s Union Street at around 9pm on Saturday, 12 March 2022. A 30-year-old man was left injured and rushed to hospital for treatment.

Police Hunt Suspect Seen in CCTV Images

Officers are on the lookout for a man believed to be in his 20s or 30s. He was spotted wearing a hooded puffer jacket, dark tracksuit bottoms, and grey trainers with white soles. The suspect was carrying a black cross-body bag and a white carrier bag.

Detective Plea for Witness Help

Detective Constable David Crawford of Greater Glasgow CID said: “We are keen to speak to the man shown in the images as we believe he may be able to assist our enquiries. The man or anyone who recognises him is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting Incident Number 3457 of 12 March 2022 or alternatively contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be passed anonymously.”

Anyone with information is urged to come forward immediately to help bring the attacker to justice.
