250 Cannabis Plants Seized in Early Morning Raid
Kent Police swooped on a disturbance just past midnight on Saturday, 27 March 2021, near the village of Ash. Officers raided the property and uncovered a staggering 250 cannabis plants. All were confiscated during an ongoing investigation.
Surrey Man Arrested but Released Pending Enquiries
A 53-year-old man from Surrey was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis. He has since been released from police custody while the probe continues.
Detective Warns of Crime Linked to Drug Sales
“The money made from the sale of these drugs would have ended up in criminal hands, leading to further crime and anti-social behaviour,” said Detective Sergeant Robert Goodban of Kent Police’s Criminal Investigation Department. “I am pleased we have taken these illegal drugs out of circulation and officers are working to establish more details about those who ran the site.”
