Copper Stolen Over The Wall on Friday Night
Between 7pm on Friday 13 July and 8am Saturday 14 July, a large haul of copper vanished. Officers suspect the thieves hauled the metal over a high wall, suggesting a well-planned job.
Second Raid: Metal Snatched in Early Hours of Sunday
The crooks returned just hours later, early Sunday 15 July, to snatch more metal. Police believe two Ford Transit vans were involved — one white, the other an old yellow model with a white Luton body.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Info on Vans
“We believe it took several people to transport all that metal,” said Sergeant Andrew Bradbury. “If you saw anyone acting suspiciously or recognise the van descriptions, please get in touch. We’d also like to hear if you’ve been offered scrap metal for sale.”
