Racial Abuse Horror in Bournemouth: Woman and Dog Drenched in Beer
A shocking hate crime unfolded on Friday, 30 September 2022, at around 4.30pm near One Stop on Jewell Road, Bournemouth. A woman in her 40s was targeted by a group of two men and a woman who verbally abused her with slurs and racial insults.
Drunken Attack and Follow-Up Inside Shop
One of the men poured beer over the victim’s shoulder and leg, soaking her and her small dog. The vile gang then followed her into the shop where the abuse continued. The two men pushed the woman inside the store, escalating their appalling behaviour.
Police Appeal for Witnesses After Hate Crime Assault
PC Andrew Kelly from Bournemouth Police said:
“This was understandably a distressing incident for the victim, and we have been carrying out a number of enquiries to try and identify the individuals involved. We take reports of hate crime very seriously and owe it to victims to explore all lines of enquiry available to us.”
He added that CCTV images of the two men are now being released to the public to help identify the attackers. Anyone who recognises them is urged to come forward immediately.
