Police Chase Ends in Crash on Wimborne Road

White Volkswagen T-Roc Fails to Stop

At around 10.15pm on Sunday 29 May 2022, police in a marked car tried to pull over a white Volkswagen T-Roc on Wimborne Road. The driver refused to stop, sparking a chase that ended in a crash near the Alma Road junction.

Collision Involving Three Vehicles

The Volkswagen smashed into a black Mitsubishi Colt and a yellow Citroen Berlingo. The driver of the Volkswagen, a woman in her 20s from Bournemouth, was arrested on suspicion of driving offences. She was taken to hospital as a precaution with injuries not believed to be serious.

The Mitsubishi’s driver, a man in his 30s, also suffered minor injuries and received treatment.

Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage

PC Chris Brolan of the traffic unit said: “We are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this incident and I would urge any witnesses to either the collision itself or the moments leading up to it, to please contact us.”

He added: “I would also like to hear from anyone who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”
