Collie Attacked by Aggressive Dog on Branksome Chine Beach
A peaceful stroll turned nasty on Branksome Chine beach at 11.30am on Tuesday 20 April 2021. A man walking his Collie was suddenly confronted by another man with a large brown dog. The bigger dog viciously attacked the Collie, leaving it with puncture wounds in the neck.
Dog Owner Flees, Leaves False Details
The Collie’s owner tried to break up the fight but ended up with scratches himself. Shockingly, the owner of the aggressive dog gave false address details and bolted from the scene without a trace.
Witnesses reported the fleeing man was aggressive and abusive towards the public as he left the beach.
Police Seek Public’s Help to ID Aggressor
“We are investigating this incident and I am releasing an image that was taken of the man with the brown dog,” said Police Constable John Upsher from Poole police.
“I am keen to identify this individual and speak to him as part of our enquiries. I would urge anyone with information as to his identity to please contact us.”
“I would also urge the man pictured to do the right thing and come forward so we can take your account of what happened.”
