New Arrest in Shocking Southampton Stabbing
Today (22 March), police in Southampton nabbed a 25-year-old man on suspicion of murder. He’s currently locked up in custody as inquiries ramp up.
Earlier, a 39-year-old Southampton resident was caught on suspicion of aiding an offender. But the plot thickened yesterday when cops rearrested him on murder charges. He’s now out on bail as the investigation presses on.
Victim Died from Fatal Chest Stab
Mark, 64, was found dead with a stab wound to his chest at his home on Warburton Road on 25 February. His shocking death has rocked the local community.
Detective Pleads for Help to Find Key Suspect
Acting Detective Chief Inspector Howard Broadribb, leading the case, said:
“New evidence came to light which led us to rearrest this individual. We are sifting through a flood of information and leads. These arrests show our team’s dedication to justice for Mark and his family in this complex case.”
“We’re urgently searching for 23-year-old Leighton Tabone, linked to Southampton and Gosport. If you spot him, call 999 immediately. Anyone caught harbouring him will face arrest.”
