Huge Cocaine Haul Nets Four in Bromley Drug Bust
£500k Worth of Cocaine Seized in Major Crackdown
Police from the Met’s Specialist Crime team have made a massive haul after uncovering 10kg of cocaine valued at around £500,000. Four suspects – three men and a woman – were arrested on Monday, 1 March, as part of a crackdown targeting Class A drug supply in Kent and south east London.
Arrests Unfold After Van Meeting in Bromley
One of the men was spotted leaving a Bromley property and meeting a man in a white van. Both were swiftly detained and searched, leading to the discovery of 8kg of suspected cocaine. A further 2kg was found after officers searched the Bromley address.
Four Held Over Supply of Dangerous Drugs
Shortly after, another man and a woman arrived at the property and were also arrested. All four suspects, aged 26 to 42, remain in custody facing charges of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.
Detective Warns of Drugs’ Devastating Impact
“Removing approximately half a million pounds worth of Class A drugs in an afternoon is great work by Met officers,” said Detective Inspector Nikki Owen. “Within a few hours we deployed, detained and arrested three men and one woman involved in drug supply – the root cause of much violent crime.
Drugs can devastate lives, ruin families and damage communities.”
