Norwich Stabbing Spree Sparks Major Police Hunt
Police are probing a triple stabbing incident that rocked Norwich in the early hours of Thursday, 2 June 2022.
Three Men Injured in Linked Attacks
Just after 1 a.m., officers rushed to a Howard Terrace home off Sussex Street where a man in his twenties was found with stab wounds to his hands. He was rushed to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and later arrested but remains under medical care.
Less than 30 minutes later, the East of England Ambulance Service was called to Drayton Road after reports of a man in his forties stabbed in the stomach. He too was hospitalised and has since been detained by police.
Shortly before 1.45 a.m., a third man, aged 30, was treated for a minor leg wound at a Pelham Road property. He was released from hospital but arrested and taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
Woman Also Arrested in Connection
A woman in her 40s was also arrested at the Pelham Road address and is being held at Wymondham Police Station as inquiries continue.
Areas Remain Sealed Off as Probe Continues
The Howard Terrace, Drayton Road, and Pelham Road scenes remain cordoned off. Officers believe the incidents are connected and involved people known to each other.
“We’re in the early stages of investigation but these assaults are linked,” police said. “Anyone with info should call Norwich CID on 101 quoting incident numbers 22 and 34 from June 2.”
