Serious Crash Shuts Down Key Basingstoke Roads

Police are tackling a major crash involving two cars and a pedestrian on Worting Road, Basingstoke. Emergency crews rushed to the scene at 9.34am after reports of a collision between a red Vauxhall Astra, a silver Vauxhall Vectra, and a pedestrian.

Man Seriously Injured After Fall

The incident left a man falling onto Ringway West below, suffering serious injuries. Both drivers are believed to have escaped without harm.

Multiple Road Closures Cause Chaos

Ringway West southbound is closed from the Thorneycroft Road roundabout. Worting Road is shut at the Sandys Road roundabout. Additional closures affect the roundabout at 1 and the slip road where Ringway West northbound meets Worting Road.

While the northbound carriageway remains open, traffic is at a standstill, causing huge congestion across the area.

Call for Witnesses

Police urge anyone who saw the crash or has information to call 101 and quote Operation Supercell.
