Fraud Alert in Fareham: Elderly Woman Scammed Out of £500
Police are hunting a man involved in a fraud targeting a 75-year-old woman in Fareham. On August 1, the victim received a phone call from a man pretending to be a bank official.
Fake Bank Caller Tricks Elderly Woman
The scammer warned her she’d get a new card soon and said a courier would collect her old cards and PIN. At 3pm that day, a man showed up at her home and convinced her to hand over her PIN and bank cards.
£500 Withdrawn After Cards Stolen
Shortly after, the fraudster used the stolen cards to withdraw £500 from her account. Police want to speak to the man pictured as he could hold vital information for their investigation.
