Stolen Cockapoo Pippa Found and Returned to Elderly Owners
Pippa, a beloved cockapoo, was stolen from an elderly couple’s garden in Great Chart near Ashford on 3 November 2020. After five days missing, she was finally found and returned home.
Dog Recovered from Hawkhurst Address
Police located Pippa on the morning of Sunday 8 November at a property on All Saints Road, Hawkhurst. She was being kept in an outside kennel. A quick microchip check confirmed her identity, allowing officers to reunite her with her distraught owners just hours later.
Inspector Praises Microchipping’s Role in Return
“Pippa’s elderly owners were most distraught at her disappearance, especially during lockdown. She is a beloved pet and companion,” said Inspector Pat Griffiths. “We’re delighted to have Pippa home safe and well. This case shows the importance of microchipping your pets. It’s not only a legal requirement but vital in helping us find lost or stolen animals.”
