Busted! Tonbridge cops catch teen with stash of heroin hidden in a plastic egg
Suspicious cyclist sparks police chase
At around 12.35pm on Tuesday 15 February 2022, two Tonbridge Community Policing Team constables were on foot patrol when they spotted a man cycling on a station platform – on a bike with no saddle. The dodgy look immediately raised suspicions the bike might be stolen.
Hidden heroin found in purple pot
The officers followed the man as he suddenly left the station onto Barden Road and stopped him for questioning. A search uncovered a purple pot taped to his waistband. Inside was a yellow plastic egg, concealing 29 street deals of suspected heroin. Police also found a small blade.
