Serious Crash in Sevenoaks: Man Seriously Injured After Police Chase
Kent Police are hunting for witnesses and dashcam footage after a high-speed police pursuit ended in a nasty crash in Riverhead, Sevenoaks.
Ford Fiesta and Land Rover Collide on Westerham Road
The smash happened just before 8.30pm on Saturday, April 19, near the junction of Westerham Road and Larkfield Road. A silver Ford Fiesta slammed into a black Land Rover Defender in what police say followed a police chase.
Paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance Service rushed the male driver of the Fiesta to a London hospital with serious injuries. His condition remains undisclosed.
Kent Police confirm the Fiesta was involved in a police pursuit before the crash. As standard, a referral has been made to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).
Police Appeal: Witnesses and Footage Needed
The Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is calling on the public to come forward with any info to help crack the case. Police especially want:
- Eyewitnesses who saw the vehicles before or during the collision
- CCTV footage from nearby homes and businesses
- Dashcam videos from drivers in the area at the time
